I can’t say where my love of animals with big eyes began. I think it started when one summer I filled a notebook or two with the same two big eyed vegetables.

 But let’s not go there.

Illustrating, or doodling which just sounds more fun, is what I love to do. I’ve been told more then once that I don’t know the meaning of a clean page.

They’re right.

But those doodles bring a smile to my face. And as a Christian I believe joy is as necessary to life as breathing.

 Nehemiah 8:10b “…for the joy of the LORD is your strength.”

 Psalm 16:11 “You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”

 Psalm 43:4a Then I will go to the altar of God, to God my exceeding joy, and I will praise you…”

Which is why I want to bring joy to those around me and try to capture it in my art.  I’m definitely not perfect, but my goal is to glorify God and my savior Jesus Christ in all that I do.

My first children’s picture book has been self-published in October. 2013!
